Regular Season games to be completed prior to February 20.

Championship weekend February 25/26 in Tawas.  The top two teams from each Division play a semi final (1st Black vs 2nd Yellow, 1st Yellow vs 2nd Black).  The winners play for the championship and the losers play a consolation.  If only one division, the top two teams play.  In the case a team can't make it, or chooses not to participate, a committee will determine who will take their place.

Teams that request reschedule will forfeit if game cannot be rescheduled.

In case of double headers where one game is not a league game, the first game is the league game.

Maximum goal differential per game is 6.  If the actual score is 10-2, according to the league, the score is 8-2.

Mercy Rule:  If at any time in the third period the goal differential is 6 or more, the game may only end in run time if the losing coach agrees.  Run time will stop if the game gets back within 3 goals.

Tie Breaker Rules  - The maximum differential for each game is 6 goals.

  2. Win percentage, if number of games played is not equal (Total Points earned divided by games played)
  3. Head to Head
  4. Plus/Minus with tied opponents (max 6 goal differential)
  5. Plus/Minus for all games (max 6 goal differential)
  6. Highest Goal Differential Quotient (GF/GA)

Playoff Format

  • Tied games in the Semi-finals or Championship game result in a 5 minute period of 3 on 3 hockey, sudden victory.  Teams will play OT in the same direction as the 3rd period.
  • If still tied there will be a 3 player shootout. Higher seed will decide which team shoots first. If both teams are the same seed, a coin toss will determine who chooses. If no winner after the 3 players go, then single alternating shooters will go until there is a winner. All shooters must go before a repeat shooter can be used.
  • One time out is allowed in championship games only.
