Playoff Format
Championship weekend February 21/22 in Tawas.

  • In Divisions with only one Conference of 8 or more teams, the top four teams play a semi final (1st vs 4th,  2nd vs 3rd).  The winners play for the championship and the losers play a consolation.
  • In Divisions with only one Conference of 7 or less teams, the top two teams play a championship game.
  • In Divisions that are split in multiple Conferences, the following format will be used.  The top two teams from each Conference play a semi final (1st Black vs 2nd Yellow, 1st Yellow vs 2nd Black).  The winners play for the championship and the losers play a consolation.
  • In the case a team can't make it, or chooses not to participate, a committee will determine who will take their place, if any.
  • Tied games in the Semi-finals or Championship game result in a 5 minute period of 3 on 3 hockey, sudden victory.  Teams will play OT in the same direction as the 3rd period.
  • If still tied there will be a 3 player shootout. Higher seed will decide which team shoots first. If both teams are the same seed, a coin toss will determine who chooses. If no winner after the 3 players go, then single alternating shooters will go until there is a winner. All shooters must go before a repeat shooter can be used.
  • One time out is allowed in championship games only.
