General Info - House League

· Season Length - The hockey season begins September 3rd, after Labor Day, and ends with the House Championship games on March 8, 2026 (tentatively).  6u Atom and 8u Mite house teams receive 55 hours of scheduled practices and games minimum.  10u Squirt through 14u Bantam receive 60 hours minimum.  

· Birth Certificates - New USA Hockey players must furnish a copy of their birth certificate to the GSAHA arena office upon registration. 

· Move Up Requests - All requests for house players asking to move to a higher division MUST be made in writing to the GSAHA Board for consideration by Sept. 3.

· Divisional Parent Meeting – There will be a parent meeting for each division during the second Training Camp Skate that will go over season expectations in detail.  That schedule will be posted on the website once complete.

· Training Camp & Draft Skate for all registered house players begins the week of September 3rd and is included in your skater’s fee.  This camp gives players and coaches a chance to start the season where they left off, and allow for better player evaluations and draft.  Below are the first Training Camp skates.  Check the division page on the website for the rest of the dates.  All players must be registered online before attending.

• Camps & Clinics - The GSAHA Board has committed to providing more opportunities for your player to grow.  Some of these will be included in your price, while others will be available at an additional cost for those that want additional development.  The ice will host power skating, stick handling, Shooting and Goaltending clinics, while the training area and video room will be utilized as well.  

• 18u High School Prep SPLIT season  - All players must be in high school.  The split season will have a September/October PREseason and a November to February REGULAR season. This allows potential high school players to participate in the preseason, and then try out for their HS team in November. After the HS select their teams, the GSAHA will form a team(s) of the remaining players who register for the Regular season. By participating on this team, you're expected to travel to away games.  Note that all 2008 & 2007 players must complete SafeSport Training before being added to a team and prior to participation (on-ice or off-ice).

· Referee Discount - Players and parents can receive a discount off their youth hockey fee by becoming a ref. To qualify for a $100 discount,  officiate 5 youth games at the SBIA that are 10u Squirt and above.  Get to 10 games and receive a $200 discount.

· Friendship Tournament Weekends - This season marks the 43rd year of our Friendship Tournament .  The 12u Pee Wee & 14u Bantam weekend is January 16-18, while the10u Squirt weekend is January 23-25.

All Players, Coaches and Volunteers must register online by choosing the appropriate link below.  These links will walk you through the steps, with the first registration being with USA  Hockey, and the second being with GSAHA.  The registration fee (Payment 1) will be collected through this website during registration.  You will receive an email containing an invoice with the remaining payments to be paid according to the schedule on that invoice.  There will be a link within the invoice that will allow you to pay online, or you can always pay in person.   Save this invoice so you are able to use it when needed because it is not automatically re-sent when payments are due.  Using credit card after the registration payment will incur a convenience fee from the credit card processor.
